At a Glance

Beginning with departures on September 5, 2022:

  • All travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can cruise with us on sailings departing from U.S. and Europe ports (excluding sailings that visit Canada).
  • Testing protocols will ease on our U.S. and Europe sailings.
    • We will begin accepting self-tests on sailings from U.S. ports that don’t visit Canada or Bermuda, and on many Europe sailings.
    • For sailings 9 nights or less, vaccinated guests will no longer need to test to board one of our ships, where destinations allow; and will have 3 days prior to boarding to test for sailings 10 nights or more.
    • Unvaccinated guests ages 5 and up will need to test 3 days prior to boarding.

    HVAC system continuously supplies and filters 100% fresh, filtered air to all spaces. You can breathe easy knowing the robust system’s layers of protection make the transmission of aerosol particles between spaces extremely low to virtually impossible.

  • While On Board

    Our enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols and enhanced medical center set a new industry standard.

  • While Ashore

    On-Your-Own tours are available unless locally restricted. While in port, guests must comply with local guidelines. Excursions provided by Celebrity Cruises extend the same health and safety standards we’re following on board. Most experiences are outdoors, and guests will be encouraged to stay with their group. Buses will be at reduced capacity and will be sanitized frequently. Small Group Discoveries will be available, and for guests that prefer to tour with their family or group, Private Journeys will be available. We’re working closely with local government to comply with their requirements.

  • 24/7 Medical Care

    We’ve made our high-quality onboard medical care stronger than ever, with more doctors and nurses on each ship and state-of-the-art equipment enhancements. And in the event of a suspected case of COVID-19, we’re fully prepared with medical evaluations, rapid testing, and more critical care on each ship.

  • Getting Home

    Should you test positive for COVID-19 onboard during your cruise, you have access to our onboard medical facilities, and you have the option to stay onboard until you test negative; or, if you prefer to disembark at the end of your sailing, our team will help with information on land-based hotels and commercial flight options.

Additional terms and conditions may apply, see our COVID-19 Policies and Procedures and your Cruise Ticket Contract for details. “Traveling Party” means (1) your family members living with you in the same household and (2) traveling companions assigned to your stateroom on the ship. Our CareTeam will assist with daily wellbeing check-ins and, where applicable, will assist in arranging shoreside accommodations or support to reschedule return travel home.”

Currently published testing and vaccination requirements remain in place for cruises from Australia and New Zealand, and the Galapagos; cruises that depart from or visit Canada or Bermuda; and transatlantic sailings, until further notice.

Amsterdam Travel Requirements as of September 24, 2022

Please ensure you are aware of both Amsterdam arrival requirements and Celebrity Cruises vaccine and testing requirements as they may differ.

VACCINATION POLICY TO SAIL

Beginning with sailings embarking on September 5, 2022, all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can now cruise as long as they meet testing requirements to board. While vaccinations are not currently required to sail on Celebrity Cruises, they are highly recommended.

COVID-19 booster vaccine shots are not currently required to sail on Celebrity Cruises but are highly recommended.

While vaccinations are not required, guests are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines); or, 2 weeks after a one dose series such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Vaccines approved and accepted by the World Health Organization (WHO) OR by the European Medical Agency (EMA) will be considered valid with the current exception of the CanSino vaccine.

Guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses, will also be considered fully vaccinated:

  • Pfizer,
  • Moderna,
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • AstraZeneca,
  • Sinovac
  • Sinopharm
  • Covaxin

Any guest who has received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson) will not be considered fully vaccinated

Sailing Testing Requirements

Up-to-Date* Guests:

  • For all sailings 9 nights or less, no pre-boarding testing is required.
  • For all sailings 10 nights or longer, guests ages 12 and up must present a negative COVID-19 test result from either an antigen test result taken within 1 day prior to sailing or a negative PCR test result taken within 3 days prior to sailing. Test results from any commercially available Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), including self-tests, will be accepted. Tests do not have to be supervised or proctored. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test. Antibody tests are not accepted.

Fully Vaccinated** and Unvaccinated Guests:

  • All guests ages 12 and up must present a negative COVID-19 test result from either an antigen test result taken within 1 day prior to sailing or a negative PCR test result taken within 3 days prior to sailing. Test results from any commercially available Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), including self-tests, will be accepted. Tests do not have to be supervised or proctored. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test. Antibody tests are not accepted.

Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may present a Certificate of Recovery and proof of the positive PCR or Antigen test result taken between 11 and less than 180 days prior to the sail date in order to board and be exempt from mid-cruise testing. The Certificate of Recovery can be presented as an NHS COVID Pass, EU Certificate of Recovery or as a letter from a healthcare provider. Please be aware that some ports of call do not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination.

Mid-Cruise/Port of Call

Guests on sailings visiting any port in Greece may be subject to mid-cruise testing, pending vaccination status and itinerary.

Debark

No debark testing required.

*European definition of Up to Date: vaccinated within 9 months (270 days) of final dose in primary series OR at least1 booster shot. The 270 days must extend to the final day of the cruise. The last primary dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior to embarkation.

**Definition of Fully Vaccinated: vaccinated with a full dose of a primary series vaccine more than 9 months (270 days) prior to sailing, and NOT boosted.

Re-Entry (to home country)

Most countries no longer require a re-entry test. Should you need a test to re-enter your country of residence, please visit the Guest Relations desk onboard the ship.

PRE-CRUISE Test Kit Resources for U.S. and UK Guests

Self-tests are now readily available in most drugstores and pharmacies. Celebrity Cruises has also worked with its trusted vendors to make options for procuring monitored/proctored test kits available to you. We strongly recommend ordering test kits at least 7 days in advance of your sailing.

While Onboard

Currently, face masks are optional onboard Celebrity ships for all guests, regardless of vaccination status. This policy is continually re-evaluated, and any updates will be shared with guests.

Excursions and Going Ashore

Based upon conditions or regulations in the countries you will visit, you may be required to go ashore on a shore excursion provided by Celebrity Cruises. These decisions are always made with your health and safety as our top priority.

 

Guests who do not meet the testing and health screening policy requirements will be denied boarding.

Australia & New Zealand Travel Requirements as of September 26, 2022

Protocols are subject to change as destinations continue to adapt, and we continually evaluate and update these requirements as new information becomes available. Booked guests will be advised of the latest requirements leading up to departure.

For itineraries that have a port of call in Australia and New Zealand, there are 3 documents all guests must complete as soon as possible prior to sailing:

  1. To comply with government protocols when sailing to Australia, all guests* must self-disclose their vaccination status, as well as read and acknowledge the Health, Travel, and Financial Risks statement. Please ensure you have completed the form below for each member of your travelling party or you may not be permitted to sail. Complete the Form
  2. All guests* (except for Australian citizens) must also complete the Australian Electronic Travel Authority (eTA) form as soon as possible. Complete the Form 
  3. The government of New Zealand requires all guests (except for New Zealand citizens) to submit a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) form prior to boarding the sailing. Complete the Form

*Guests onboard the January 14th, 2023 Celebrity Eclipse sailing are exempt from completing these forms as the sailing does not visit an Australian port.

Vaccine Policy to Sail

All guests ages 12 and older must be fully vaccinated to sail.*

COVID-19 booster vaccine shots are not currently required to sail but are highly recommended.

Guests are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines); or, 2 weeks after a one dose series such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Vaccines approved and accepted by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) will be considered valid.

Guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses, will also be considered fully vaccinated:

  • Pfizer/Cominarty
  • Moderna/Spikevax
  • Johnson & Johnson/Janssen
  • AstraZeneca/Covishield/Vaxzevria
  • Sinovac/Coronavac
  • Sinopharm/BBIBP-CorV
  • Covaxin
  • Nuvaxovid

Any guest who has received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) will not be considered fully vaccinated.

Documentation of full vaccination must be provided at the terminal as a condition for boarding.

Please plan to carry your vaccination documentation with you at all times while in port should local authorities or businesses request it to help facilitate entry and/or experiences.

*Guests onboard the January 14th, 2023 Celebrity Eclipse sailing are exempt from the vaccination requirement and can now cruise as long as they meet testing requirements to board. While vaccinations are not currently required to sail on Celebrity Cruises, they are highly recommended.

 

Sailing Testing Requirements 

Pre-Arrival/Embarkation Covid-19 Testing

All guests must test negative for COVID-19 in order to board their sailing.

Accepted test options include:

  • A PCR test taken at a private laboratory within 3 days prior to boarding;
  • Any commercially available Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), including self-tests, within 1 day of boarding. Tests do not have to be supervised or proctored. (For guests  selecting this option who are traveling internationally, we strongly recommend pre-purchasing your test kit in your home country and traveling with it to Australia.)
  • Antibody tests will not be accepted.

Tests results will not need to be presented at embarkation; but, all guests will be asked to attest to taking the test and testing negative during the boarding process.

For guests traveling internationally and selecting the RAT testing option, we strongly recommend purchasing a test kit in your home country and traveling with it in order to meet the one-day prior-to-boarding testing requirement.

Debark

No Debark testing is required.

Certificates of Recovery 

Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may present a Certificate of Recovery and proof of the positive PCR or RAT test result taken between 11 and less than 90 days prior to the sail date in order to board and be exempt from testing. The Certificate of Recovery can be presented as an NHS COVID Pass, EU Certificate of Recovery or as a letter from a healthcare provider. In addition, you must still present a vaccination card. Please be aware that some ports of call do not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination. We will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccination record.

 

PRE-CRUISE Test Kit Resources for U.S. and UK Guests

Numerous rapid antigen tests (RAT) are now commercially available at drugstores, pharmacies and other locations. We are also pleased to make a guided test option available for order pre-cruise for U.S. and UK guests. We suggest that you order the test kit(s) at least 10 days in advance of your sailing and plan to travel with them, in order to complete the 1-day prior-to-boarding testing requirement. While these tests exceed government requirements, they do feature a certified guide who walks you through the testing steps and your results are typically ready in about 15 minutes. The cost for COVID-19 test kits may be covered by your health insurance plan.  Please check with your insurance provider for coverage benefits.

Barcelona Travel Requirements as of September 24, 2022

Bermuda Travel Requirements as of October 5, 2022

We are aware of a recent update Bermuda made to its arrival requirements; but, at their direction, we are also awaiting final clarification on a couple of items related to their new policies. We expect to be able to post the new guidance within the next few days, and will then update this website and our email communication to booked guests.

Travel requirements vary by homeport country. Be sure you’re aware of both homeport country and Celebrity Cruises vaccine and testing requirements as they may differ.  We will continually evaluate and update these requirements and protocols as new information becomes available. Booked guests will be advised of the latest requirements leading up to departure.

Destination Health Protocols and Requirements

Bermuda requires that all guests complete an online Travel Authorization form, upload their negative test results, and pay an associated fee directly through Bermuda’s dedicated website located here: https://www.gov.bm/cruise-travel-authorisation. A receipt of this form, digital or paper copy will need to be presented at check-in in order to board the ship. This form is available beginning 30 days prior to sailing and all guests must present their approved authorization form in order to board their sailing.

The government of Bermuda doesn’t recognize Novovax or Covaxin as approved vaccines. Guests whose vaccination consists of either will not be permitted to go ashore.

Bermuda does not accept Certificates of Recovery and will not exempt guests from presenting a negative COVID-19 test result. Guests who are unable to present a negative Covid-19COVID-19 test result, regardless of if they can present a Certificate of Recovery, are unable to debark the ship in Bermuda and cannot sail if Bermuda is the port of disembarkation.

 

Sailing Testing Requirements

Pre-Arrival/Embarkation Covid-19 Testing

All guests ages 2 and older must present a digital or physical copy of a supervised, negative COVID-19 test result at check-in to board their sailing.

Up-to-Date* Guests and Fully Vaccinated** but not Up-to-Date Guests: Must present a negative antigen test result taken within 2 days prior to sailing or negative PCR test result taken within 3 days prior to sailing. Pre-arrival testing must be completed by an authorized provider at your own expense.

Unvaccinated and Vaccinated but Not Up-to-Date* Guests: Must present a negative PCR or antigen COVID-19 test result taken within 2 days prior to sailing. Pre-arrival testing must be completed by an authorized provider at your own expense.

Debark/Re-Entry

No Debark testing is required.

Canada requires arriving travelers to complete an entry form prior to arrival. The form can be found here.

  • If you are flying to Canada to begin your cruise, you must enter your vaccination/test results prior to your flight’s arrival in Canada.
  • If you will be entering a Canadian port on your cruise that begins in the U.S., you must enter your vaccination/test results prior to debarking in any Canadian port.

While approved self-test kits are now readily available at drugstore chains in the United States, we are also pleased to make them available for order pre-cruise. We suggest that you order them at least one full week in advance of your sailing. These tests allow you to complete your pre-cruise test at home or any place of your choosing with the help of live video supervision by a Certified Guide. Your results are typically ready in about 15 minutes. Alaska Cruisetours

Sailing Testing Requirements:

Pre-Arrival for Land Tours Covid-19 Testing

Pre-Cruise

  • All Celebrity Cruises requires all guests ages 2 and older to present a digital or physical copy of a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 2 days of the land tour start date. This test may be taken as either an Antigen or PCR test and is not required to be monitored testing.
  • For testing prior to the sailing guests are advised to bring an approved eMed kit and Celebrity Cruises will facilitate testing in the necessary time frame before the cruise. Guests who don’t bring an eMed kit, or are not eligible to use one, will have an in-person antigen test made available to them at their expense. Pricing is set by the vendor and subject to change without notice.

Post-Cruise

  • Testing prior to the land tour is not required.

 

Masks: will be required while traveling by motorcoach and rail in accordance with federal and local mask mandates. If no mask mandate is in effect, advised by the tour operator, masks will be optional for vaccinated guests and appreciated for unvaccinated children.

Italy (Ravenna and Civitavecchia) Travel Requirements as of October 7, 2022

All sailings scheduled to sail from the port of Venice will now embark from the port of Ravenna until further notice. Guests who are scheduled to leave from the port of Civitavecchia are not impacted.

We continually evaluate and update these requirements and protocols as new information becomes available. Booked guests will be advised of the latest requirements leading up to departure.

PLEASE NOTE: As of October 9, 2022, Haifa, Israel no longer requires arriving travelers to complete an entry form prior to entering the country.

VACCINATION POLICY TO SAIL

Beginning with sailings embarking on Sept. 5, 2022, all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can now cruise as long as they meet testing requirements to board. While vaccinations are not currently required to sail on Celebrity Cruises, they are highly recommended

COVID-19 booster vaccine shots are not currently required to sail on Celebrity Cruises but are highly recommended.

While vaccinations are not required, guests are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines); or, 2 weeks after a one dose series such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Vaccines approved and accepted by the World Health Organization (WHO) OR by the European Medical Agency (EMA) will be considered valid with the current exception of the CanSino vaccine.

Guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses, will also be considered fully vaccinated:

  • Pfizer,
  • Moderna,
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • AstraZeneca,
  • Sinovac
  • Sinopharm
  • Covaxin

Any guest who has received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson) will not be considered fully vaccinated.

Test results from any commercially available Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), including self-tests, will be accepted. Tests do not have to be supervised or proctored. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test. Antibody tests are not accepted.

Please Note: Greece has removed its unique testing requirements as of Sept. 24, 2022. Please disregard any previously received communication with special instructions for sailings visiting Greece and follow the above guidelines.

Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may present a Certificate of Recovery and proof of the positive PCR or Antigen test result taken between 11 and less than 180 days prior to the sail date in order to board and be exempt from mid-cruise testing. The Certificate of Recovery can be presented as an NHS COVID Pass, EU Certificate of Recovery or as a letter from a healthcare provider. Please be aware that some ports of call do not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination.

Mid-Cruise/Port of Call

Guests on sailings visiting any port in Greece may be subject to mid-cruise testing, pending vaccination status and itinerary.

Debark

No debark testing required.

Re-Entry (to home country)

Most countries no longer require a re-entry test. Should you need a test to re-enter your country of residence, please visit the Guest Relations desk onboard the ship.

Below is everything you need to know to ensure a smooth boarding process for our upcoming Transatlantic sailings. Please note that travel requirements may vary by disembarkation port and the destinations visited on your sailing. Be sure you’re aware of both homeport country and Celebrity Cruises vaccine and testing requirements as they may differ.  We will continually evaluate and update these requirements and protocols as new information becomes available. Sailing Requirements Checklist

Required Travel Documentation to Board

Proof of Vaccine is required for all guests regardless of age.

Negative Test Result must be presented by all guests upon arrival at port.

Health Declaration to be completed exclusively on our Celebrity Cruises App via check-in.

Passport is needed for all guests with a validity of at least 6 months after their sailing’s return date.

All guests must check their Visa and ESTA requirements before traveling.

Please note that If a traveler is found to have visited a country designated by the US as State Sponsor of Terrorism, the traveler is no longer eligible to participate in the ESTA Visa Wavier Program and must apply for a visa to enter the United States. Proof of Residence may be needed for guests traveling with a passport that was issued from a country different from their country of residence.

For guests on back-to-back sailings

All back-to-back guests will receive a COVID test in port, prior to reboarding the Transatlantic leg of their journey, at no additional cost.

For itineraries that have a port of call in Australia and New Zealand, there are 3 documents all guests must complete as soon as possible prior to sailing:

  1. To comply with government protocols when sailing to Australia, all guests must self-disclose their vaccination status, as well as read and acknowledge the Health, Travel, and Financial Risks statement. Please ensure you have completed the form below for each member of your travelling party or you may not be permitted to sail.   2. All guests (except for Australian citizens) must also complete the Australian Electronic Travel Authority (eTA) form as soon as

In order to sail on a Transatlantic or Transpacific crossing with us, we will require all guests to be fully vaccinated.

 

COVID-19 booster vaccine shots are not currently required to sail but are highly recommended to ensure a smoother vacation experience.

 

Guests are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines); or, 2 weeks after a one dose series such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Vaccines approved and accepted by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) will be considered valid.

 

Guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses, will also be considered fully vaccinated:

  • Moderna/Spikevax
  • Johnson & Johnson/Janssen
  • AstraZeneca/Covishield/Vaxzevria
  • Sinovac/Coronavac

Any guest who has received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) will not be considered fully vaccinated.

Documentation of full vaccination must be provided at the terminal as a condition for boarding.

 

Please plan to carry your vaccination documentation with you at all times while in port should local authorities or businesses request it to help facilitate entry and/or experiences.

Additionally, please be aware that some ports of call do not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination. If applicable to your itinerary, you will be advised of the latest requirements leading up to departure

PLEASE NOTE: Bermuda does not accept Certificates of Recovery and will not exempt guests from presenting a negative COVID-19 test result. Guests who are unable to present a negative COVID-19 test result, regardless of whether or not they have a Certificate of Recovery, are unable to debark the ship in Bermuda.

PLEASE NOTE: For any sailings visiting Martinique, guests must check in with a valid a passport. Guests that check in with a Birth Certificate will be allowed to sail, however will not be allowed to go ashore in Martinique

Vaccination Policy to Sail

If you are vaccinated, please plan to carry your vaccination documentation with you at all times while in port should local authorities or businesses request it to help facilitate entry and/or experiences.

Vaccines approved and accepted by the World Health Organization (WHO) OR by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will be considered valid with the current exception of the CanSino vaccine.

Guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses, will also be considered fully vaccinated:

  • Pfizer
  • Moderna
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • AstraZeneca/ Covishield
  • Sinovac
  • Sinopharm
  • Covaxin

Any guest who has received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson) will not be considered fully vaccinated.

 

Testing Requirements

Vaccinated Guests

For all sailings 9 nights or less, no pre-boarding testing is required.

For all sailings 10 nights or longer, vaccinated guests ages 5 and older must present a negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken within 3 days prior to boarding. Test results from any commercially available Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), including self-tests, will be accepted. Tests do not have to be supervised or proctored. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test. Antibody tests are not accepted.

Unvaccinated Guests
For all sailings, unvaccinated guests ages 5 and older must present a negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken within 3 days prior to boarding. Test results from any commercially available Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), including self-tests, will be accepted. Tests do not have to be supervised or proctored. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test. Antibody tests are not accepted.

Certificate of Recovery

Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may present a Certificate of Recovery and proof of the positive PCR or Antigen test result taken between 11-90 days prior to the sail date in order to board and be exempt from testing. The Certificate of Recovery can be presented as an NHS Covid Pass, EU Certificate of Recovery or as a letter from a healthcare provider. Please be aware that some ports of call may not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination.

Back-to-Back-Sailings

Testing for back-to-back sailings is not required for all sailings. Guests will be notified onboard if testing is required and will be provided testing at no cost if needed.

This back-to-back testing policy applies to any combination of sailings on any ships within the Royal Caribbean Group which includes Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and SilverSea.  Guests joining from other cruise lines not in the Royal Carribean Group family must follow all of our testing requirements in order to board our ships.

Re-Entry (to home country)

Most countries no longer require a re-entry test. Should you need a test to re-enter your country of residence, please visit the Guest Relations desk onboard the ship.

Pre-Cruise Test Kit Resources for U.S. and UK Guests

Self-tests are also readily available in most drugstores and pharmacies.

Celebrity Cruises has also worked with its trusted vendors to make options for procuring supervised test kits available to you. While these tests exceed our requirements beginning on Sept. 5, 2022, they do feature a certified guide who walks you through the testing steps.

  • U.S. Guests can purchase Abbott BinaxNOW test kits here.
  • U.K. Guests can purchase Prenetics test kits here.
    • We strongly recommend ordering test kits at least 7 days in advance of your sailing.
    • Once you have taken the test, you will receive your results in about 15 minutes.

 

Mask Policy
Currently, face masks are optional onboard Celebrity ships for all guests, regardless of vaccination status. Celebrity Cruises follows the requirements in all jurisdictions we sail, and please note that mask requirements may vary by the destinations visited on your sailing and/or disembarkation port. This policy is continually re-evaluated, and any updates will be shared with guests.

While Ashore
All guests may go ashore on their own.

 

Guests that do not meet the testing and health screening policy requirements will be denied boarding.
